We are looking to recruit a Level 3+ WAG Squad coach, to join our team, and coach our competitive gymnastics programme!

Salary: Dependent on Qualifications and Experience.

Evening and Weekend work, exact hours to be agreed. The Role is part time with a minimum of 16 hours, however it could be adapted to full time for the right candidate.

Main tasks to expect from the role:

  • Coaching Competitive Squad group(s)
  • Attending Competitions/Trainings
  • Coaching Squad Holiday Camps/Attending External Training events

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training programmes tailored to the needs of individual gymnasts.
  • Monitor athletes’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to during training sessions.
  • Ensure sessions are fun, engaging and progressive.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, and other coaching staff regarding performance and development.
  • Maintain a clean and safe training environment.

  • DBS (can be provided)
  • Safeguarding Certificate (can be provided)
  • Min Level 3 WAG Coaching Qualification (British Gymnastics).
  • First Aid certificate is ideal but not required as this can be provided.
  • Experience Coaching Competitive Gymnastics

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our team who hold a Level 1 or 2 Gymnastics Qualification. This role involves working with gymnasts of varying skill levels, fostering their development, and ensuring a safe and encouraging environment for all participants.

Hours: Evening and Weekend work available, part time , hours ranging from 3-12 hours per week.

*For Level 2 candidates there may be more hours available if you have the required experience.*

Pay: from £12.21 per hour – depending on qualifications and experience.

Role Overview: Head of Squads 

As Head of Squads, your primary responsibility will be to manage and elevate our competitive gymnastics program, focusing on both Gymnastics for All (GFA) and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG). Your coaching will be on WAG-specific groups however.

This role involves restructuring the competitive pathway initially and then enhancing customer service for our squad gymnasts, and fostering a supportive, progressive environment for both current and future athletes in our squads.

Key Responsibilities:

Coaching and Program Growth

  • Lead and coach WAG competitive groups, developing lesson plans.
  • Expand and enhance the competitive program by holding trials and assessments to recruit and nurture talent (GFA & WAG).
  • Initially Restructure and implement a successful squad pathway, creating a clear structure and progression system for gymnasts. This will then be continuously reviewed and adjusted where required in the future.
  • Oversee and monitor all competitive groups, providing support, feedback, and guidance to both gymnasts and their personal coaches.


Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Mentor and upskill the coaching team, offering internal training and support.
  • Ensure consistent communication and collaboration across the squad coaching staff, fostering a cohesive environment.


Administrative and Operational Management

  • Lead communication with squad parents, including providing feedback, scheduling progress meetings, and managing all competition-related communication.
  • All admin relating to our squad gymnasts.
  • Handle escalated complaints, grievances, and concerns from parents, gymnasts, and staff relating to squads.
