Two of our lovely coaches are heading off on exciting new adventures (one to university and one travelling the world), which means we’re now looking to welcome another brilliant coach or 2 into the TJ team.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and Gymnastics Coach (Level 1 or Level 2) to support our recreational and advanced recreational programmes.

We have our own in-house award scheme and structured pathway, giving you clear lesson guidance while still allowing you to bring your personality and coaching style to sessions. You’ll receive full training and support to coach the ‘TJ way’, so your confidence grows quickly, even if you’re still early in your coaching journey.

You’ll work with gymnasts of varying ages and abilities, helping them build skills, confidence, and a genuine love for gymnastics in a positive, safe, and encouraging environment.

You’ll also be part of, our annual Club Championships, with other paid opportunities such as holiday camps and private lessons.

Hours & Pay

  • Part-time role
  • Evenings & weekends
  • Currently 3-5.5 hours per week available with an additional 3.5 hours available from July onwards.
  • Level 2 coaches with competitive experience may be offered additional hours coaching our squad classes.
  • Pay dependent on qualifications and experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver fun, engaging, and structured gymnastics sessions
  • Develop training tailored to individual gymnasts
  • Monitor progress and give positive, constructive feedback
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised training environment
  • Follow all safety and safeguarding procedures
  • Communicate effectively with gymnasts, parents, and fellow coaches
  • Be a positive role model and part of a supportive coaching team

Requirements

  • Level 1 or Level 2 British Gymnastics Coaching Qualification (GFA or WAG)
  • DBS check (can be provided)
  • Safeguarding Certificate (can be provided)
  • British Gymnastics Insurance (provided if expired)
  • A genuine passion for gymnastics and working with children

Are you ready to inspire the next generation of gymnasts? We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and committed Gymnastics Coach to join our growing team! If you hold at least a Level 2 qualification in WAG or GG and have a passion for helping athletes thrive, we’d love to hear from you.

This role is part time, but please let us know if you would prefer full time. You’ll work with gymnasts on our squad pathway, helping to progress their gymnastics and prepare them for competitions. You’ll play a key role in building their skills, confidence, and love for the sport, all while creating a safe, supportive, and fun training environment.

We also have coaching hours available in our recreational programme  so whether you love nurturing new talent or pushing experienced gymnasts to reach their full potential, we can shape the role around your strengths and experience.

Hours: Evening and Weekend work available, part time , hours ranging from 3-12 hours per week.

Pay: from £12.60 per hour – depending on qualifications and experience.

Requirements:

  • DBS (can be provided)
  • Safeguarding Certificate (can be provided)
  • Level 1 or Level 2 Coaching Qualification (British Gymnastics) GG or WAG discipline.
  • British Gymnastics Insurance (Can be provided)

  • We offer an online coach education to support your learning, which also includes external training/CPD days for free.

  • All required certificates, insurances and courses are paid for by the company as and when required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training programmes tailored to the needs of individual gymnasts.
  • Monitor athletes’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to during training sessions.
  • Ensure sessions are fun, engaging and progressive.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other coaching staff regarding performance and development.
  • Maintain a clean and safe training environment.

Skills

  • Experience in gymnastics coaching

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A passion for gymnastics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
  • For our squad classes you will need competitive coaching experience.
