Are you passionate about coaching competitive gymnastics and ready to make your mark? We’re looking for a motivated Level 3+ Gymnastics Coach to join our team and help grow and shape our competitive programme.
This role is flexible and can be tailored to your ambitions and experience, whether you’d like to just focus on coaching a specific group or step up into a leadership position and lead our entire competitive pathway and become our new Head of Squads. As a squad coach you’ll be working with gymnasts ranging from 10-16, currently competing at county and regional levels. You’ll play a key role in helping them reach their potential and achieve their goals in a supportive and ambitious training environment.
For those keen to take on the Head of Squads role, this is an exciting chance to take ownership of our competitive programme, creating training plans, developing athletes and coaches, building pathways, and putting your own stamp on how we deliver competitive gymnastics. This would involve coaching across a variety of squad groups.
Hours: The role can be part-time or full-time, to suit the right candidate. Minimum 16 hours per week, with sessions mainly taking place on weekday evenings and weekends, plus training camps and competitions as needed.
Pay: Dependent on qualifications and experience, and whether you take on the leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and develop gymnasts through all competitive levels, ensuring steady and safe progression.
- Communicate effectively with gymnasts and parents about training, progress, and goals.
- (Leadership role) Lead and manage the competitive programme, working with and mentoring other coaches and assistants.
- Plan and deliver engaging, progressive training sessions.
- Attend competitions and support athletes to perform at their best.
- Contribute ideas to continually develop and improve our programme.
Key Requirements:
✅ Minimum Level 3 WAG Coaching Qualification (British Gymnastics)
✅ Proven experience coaching within a competitive WAG pathway
✅ Ability to plan, deliver, and adapt training for different gymnasts and levels
✅ Strong communication skills, especially with parents
✅ A positive, proactive coaching style
✅ A team player who supports and encourages colleagues
✅ Keen to learn and open to ongoing CPD
✅ DBS check (can be provided)
✅ Safeguarding certificate (can be provided)
✅ First Aid certificate is ideal but can be provided
✅ Management experience is an advantage for the leadership role (but not essential — training and support provided)

Are you ready to inspire the next generation of gymnasts? We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and committed Gymnastics Coach to join our growing team! If you hold at least a Level 2 qualification in WAG or GG and have a passion for helping athletes thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
This role is part time, but please let us know if you would prefer full time. You’ll work with gymnasts on our squad pathway, helping to progress their gymnastics and prepare them for competitions. You’ll play a key role in building their skills, confidence, and love for the sport, all while creating a safe, supportive, and fun training environment.
We also have coaching hours available in our recreational programme so whether you love nurturing new talent or pushing experienced gymnasts to reach their full potential, we can shape the role around your strengths and experience.
Hours: Evening and Weekend work available, part time , hours ranging from 3-12 hours per week.
Pay: from £12.60 per hour – depending on qualifications and experience.
Requirements:
- DBS (can be provided)
- Safeguarding Certificate (can be provided)
- Level 1 or Level 2 Coaching Qualification (British Gymnastics) GG or WAG discipline.
- British Gymnastics Insurance (Can be provided)

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programmes tailored to the needs of individual gymnasts.
- Monitor athletes’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to during training sessions.
- Ensure sessions are fun, engaging and progressive.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other coaching staff regarding performance and development.
- Maintain a clean and safe training environment.
