Class Awards:
You will receive an email from us (TJ Gymnastics) confirming when your child has passed an award.
You can also track their progress anytime via the iClassPro app.
Once your child has passed an award, you will receive an email with full instructions and a link to purchase.
Firstly, please check the iClassPro app to see if your child has passed an award.
If they haven’t, this could be for a few reasons:
- They may not have been with us very long
- They may still be working towards their first award (on average, this takes around one full term, but every child progresses differently)
- They may have missed sessions due to illness or holidays, which can delay progress
If you would like an update, you’re very welcome to:
- Email us at info@tjgymnasticsboston.co.uk
- Book a coach feedback call via the iClassPro app
There are a few possible reasons for this:
- Attendance – missed sessions can slow progress
- Progression – as levels increase, skills become more challenging and take longer to achieve
If you’re unsure, feel free to:
- Email us at info@tjgymnasticsboston.co.uk
- Book a coach feedback call via the app
Log in to the iClassPro app and go to:
Account → Your Child’s Name → Evaluations
You’ll be able to see:
- Awards already passed
- Skills currently being worked on
Each skill is rated from 1–5:
- 1 – Just getting started
- 2 – Learning
- 3 – Improving
- 4 – Almost there
- 5 – Mastered
Please note we require the gymnast to pass 12/12 skills to complete the award.
We update the app every half term.
Due to the size of the task (and it being a manual process), we aim to update at least one apparatus per gymnast each half term.
We use our own in-house award scheme, designed specifically around how we teach gymnastics.
This allows us to:
- Adapt to each individual gymnast
- Support consistent progress
- Help every child feel successful and confident
Once purchased, awards are presented during Award Week, which takes place at the end of each half term.
Please note:
- Awards must be purchased before the cut-off date (shared via email each term)
- The 2026 Award Calendar can be found here: [insert link]

- If you purchased before the cut-off date and haven’t received it at the following award week, please contact the office

Trial Classes
- You can enter your child via this booking link.
- The entry deadline is Sunday 17th May 2026
Gymnasts will begin learning their routines during two competition experience weeks, planned for W/C 4th May & W/C 11th May. Following this, your gymnast will then be allocated to a level and they will continue to learn the routines they have been allocated. Videos of the routines will be sent out to you so you can help them memorise at home if you wish to do so.
Gymnasts will only compete on one of the days. We will not know which day your child will compete until the entry deadline has passed and all entries have been collated and organised into a running programme. As soon as this has been done, we will email you with your child’s day and time.
As we won’t know which day everyone has been allocated until after the entry deadline has passed we cannot specify which day your child will be
competing. You are however still welcome to enter, but entries are non-refundable should you not be available on the day your child is allocated.
Gymnasts can wear any leotard of their choice. Boys can wear T-Shirt and shorts if they prefer. No leotards with a skirt attached are permitted.
Hair style is optional, as long as it is tied back neatly and safely and stays in throughout the competition. This includes any boys with long hair.
Unfortunately, the days and times allocated are based upon their competition levels, so they must attend at their allocated time on the programme. We are unable to make any changes to this once the programme has been finalised.
Yes, this was mentioned in the event description. This is not a drop and go event. Parens / guardians must remain on site at all times.
We ask for a donation of £4 per adult, and £2 for under 16s. This is payable once per person, for the duration of the two days. So if you have gymnasts split over two rounds/two days, you will only pay the spectator fee once per person.
No you pay it once per person for both days. You will receive a wrist band to wear all day.
There is no limit on the number of spectators allowed, however we anticipate that there will be roughly 50 gymnasts per round and we have about 100 chairs, so ask that if you bring more than 2 spectators please be prepared to stand.
Yes, photos and videos are permitted but we ask that you please turn off your flash. This can cause a distraction to the gymnasts.
We also ask that the photos and videos you take are not published on social media, unless they do not contain other peoples’ children, or you can blur/crop other children out of the photo. We must respect that everyone does not agree to having their child’s photo published on social media.
There will also be a professional photographer on the day.
Please follow the signs for gymnast entrance, and spectators entrance respectively.
In gymnastics, children are grouped on their birth year, so they may be inthe ‘Age 8’ group but are still only 7 on the competition day if their 8th birthday is after 13th/14th September this year.
For example, if your child was born on the 17th September 2017, they willbe in the age 8 category, despite being 7 on the day.
We group gymnasts in their ages at our discretion. Sometimes gymnasts will be in smaller categories than others. Unfortunately this is the nature of all competitions, which depends on the number of children their age that have entered into the same category as them.
On the programme, each gymnast will have a colour next to their name. This is their TJ Team colour. Gymnasts are automatically allocated into coloured teams upon enrolling with us, and throughout the competition day their scores are turned into contributions for their TJ Teams. The TJ Team with the most points at the end of the competition will be our TJ Hockley Cup winners!
As well as the competition there is the ‘TJ Hockley Cup’ up for grabs! Gymnasts are already allocated a team, and earn points for their team during their usual sessions. However, on the competition day, all gymnasts scores will contribute to additional points for their team. At the end of the competition, the winning team will be the team with the highest amount of points and will win the Trophy!
